Fall 2008 Research Development Grant Competition
Call For Proposals
Deadline: 4:00 p.m. (CDT) on Tuesday, July 8, 2008
The Office of the Vice President for Research announces the 4th competition for $1 million dollars in grant support to stimulate the generation of innovative new research efforts at Texas Tech University. The funds will be awarded on a competitive basis. Proposals will be judged on the basis of academic merit, ingenuity and innovation.
To foster creativity, there are no specific guidelines governing the topics eligible for consideration or the scope of the project. Nor are there any limits to the amount that may be requested – except that it may not exceed $1 million. The funds may be used for any research-related expenditure, including salaries, and may be budgeted for two fiscal years (FY09 and FY10). Applicants are encouraged to propose large, multidisciplinary programs that have the potential to introduce new, novel areas of academic activity at Texas Tech.
