Annual Conference on the Advancement of Women
In 1984, The First All-University Conference on the Advancement of Women in Academia was held.
This conference occurs each Spring on the campus of Texas Tech University. A local, state and national call for papers is sent out each year to help promote academic research. Over the year's the theme of the conference has merged with present day discourse of examining the cultural and social construction of gender, exploring the history, experiences and contributions of women to society, and studying the influences of gender on the lives of women and men.
Please help make the Women's Studies Conference a huge success by serving as a volunteer. Specific tasks, as well as miscellaneous duties, are offered to provide you an experience of a behind the scenes look at organizing and planning a conference of this nature. Read more...
