Annual All-University Conference for the Advancement of Women in Higher Education

In 1984, The First All-University Conference on the Advancement of Women in Academia was held.

This conference occurs each Spring on the campus of Texas Tech University. A local, state and national call for papers is sent out each year to help promote academic research. Over the year's the theme of the conference has merged with present day discourse of examining the cultural and social construction of gender, exploring the history, experiences and contributions of women to society, and studying the influences of gender on the lives of women and men.
