A View of Full Frontal Feminism: Organizing within a Movement

feminist

Texas Tech University Women's Studies will host a meeting/gathering with student organizers Frances Martin and Devin Saunders on Wednesday, April 27th, on the TTU campus, Holden Hall RM 38 at 5:30pm-6:30pm to discuss past, present and future student leadership development within the feminist movement.

"A View of Full Frontal Feminism: Organizing within a Movement" is an informal planning meeting to discuss the ongoing needs of the feminist community here on campus.

Have you ever wanted to form a student organization or group focusing on feminism? Are you a current or past member of an active feminist group and you want to share your knowledge, skills and experiences of organizing with others? We invite you to come and share your thoughts on how we can cultivate partnerships and develop relationships that promote education and personal growth.

We will discuss Texas Tech University student organizations past and present such as V-Day Lubbock Coalition, and Graduate Feminist Scholars. Additionally we will discuss the renewal of a former feminist student organization and the small group of students leading the way to bring the group back to life.

We hope you will join us in the conversation to encourage students, faculty, and staff to learn about timely feminist issues, develop leadership and organizing skills, and connect with current organizations here on campus.

April 27th is also "Denim Day". Wear your denim in support of sexual violence prevention education and campaign.
