Spring 2012

The forum is designed to continue discussions and to create new discussions around feminism past, present and future. A forum of this type strives to create an environment where the cultural and social construction of gender can be freely examined through the history, experiences and contributions of women to society and study the influences of gender on the lives of women and men.

This semester we will focus on the history and current state of national and international awareness campaigns where women have led and continue to lead within our community.

Registration for each forum is FREE. Please go to the link provided and click on "schedule of events" on the left side of the page to find the event and register. For non-TTU personnel please contact the Teaching, Learning, and Professional Development Center (TLPDC) at (806) 742-0133 to register. Link to register: https://www.tltc.ttu.edu

    Return to Women's History Month

Annually on 8 March, thousands of events are held throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate achievements. International Women's Day has been observed since in the early 1900's, a time of great expansion and turbulence in the industrialized world that saw booming population growth and the rise of radical ideologies. This forum will discuss current strategies to promote forward movement of women's rights on a global scale.
