international womens day 2012 International Women's Day Event

  • March 8 | "A History of Women's Leadership"
Guest Speakers will be members of the newly formed TTU Student Organization "Women for Women International"

    Teaching, Learning & Professional Development Center | RM 153 | 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Annually on 8 March, thousands of events are held throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate achievements. International Women's Day has been observed since in the early 1900's, a time of great expansion and turbulence in the industrialized world that saw booming population growth and the rise of radical ideologies. This forum will discuss current strategies to promote forward movement of women's rights on a global scale.

Registration for each forum is FREE. Please go to the link provided and click on "schedule of events" on the left side of the page to find the event and register. For non-TTU personnel please contact the Teaching, Learning, and Professional Development Center (TLPDC) at (806) 742-0133 to register.
