foo Major Degree with Minor in Personal Financial Planning

This unique program allows Agricultural and Applied Economics (foo) majors to combine applied economics with financial planning to obtain a minor in Personal Financial Planning. The multidisciplinary program includes courses in economics, finance, accounting, communications, and personal financial planning.

Upon completion of this degree program, students will be well-prepared for careers in financial planning and counseling in private practice, financial institutions, and government and social agencies. A Personal Financial Planning minor qualifies a student to sit for the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Board examination. The designation CFPTM represents the most respected professional certification in the financial services industry.

Nine hours of the PFP minor can be applied toward fulfillment of nine hours of Required Electives in the Agricultural and Applied Economics major program.

For course requirements, see Personal Finance Minors.
