Preston grew up in Hobbs, New Mexico. Preston then moved to Louisville, Kentucky to attend Boyce College, where he would graduate with a B.S. Even though he is not originally from Lubbock, his wife Erin is getting him involved in the culture at Texas Tech. He loves all things academia and has developed a passion for the ancient classical world. He's excited to be able to contribute to such a great university.
