Duck""Dip""Dodge: Ag Council rolls out annual Ag Olympic fest
Dodgeball , tug-of-war and a challenging obstacle course are among the highlight events set for this year's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources 'Ag Olympics' competition starting at 2 p.m. Sunday (Apr. 11) at Tech's Animal and Food Sciences Livestock Arena.
Sponsored by CASNR's Ag Council, the annual event features six-member teams representing
clubs and organizations from across the college in head-to-head competition in five
events. They are:
"Sled race
"Tug-of-war
"Dodgeball
"Water balloon darts
"Obstacle course
"The best part about Ag Olympics is that it's the perfect time for clubs to have a good, clean time together," said Tech Ag Council President Ashley Larkin. "Throughout the academic year, we work on various projects together, but this is an opportunity when we can truly just have a good time and try to relax."
Larkin noted that this year's obstacle course will feature a poker run including 3-legged race, roping, water balloon pop competition, slime card-match, slip and slide and dice roll stations. She added that the Ag Council's annual barbeque cook-off, usually held in conjunction with Ag Olympics, has been moved to the fall semester in an effort to entice more Red Raider football tailgaters to participate.
