Coffman tapped for Texas Tech Alumni Association 'Top Techsan' Award
A longtime business leader in Texas Tech's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources has been selected to receive a 'Top Techsan Award' from the university's alumni association, officials announced today (Oct. 14). Dianne Coffman is unit manager of administration and finance in CASNR's dean's office.
As part of the campus-wide annual homecoming celebration, a special luncheon for Coffman and three other Top Techsan award winners is set for noon on Nov. 5 at the Merket Alumni Center. Recipients will each receive a plaque and a $500 cash award during the presentation.
With 25 years of service under her belt, Coffman has been with the university since 1984. Her duties include supporting financial and administration areas in the Dean's office, as well as six departments, the Development Office, Fiber & Biopolymer Research Institute, Ag & Farm Operations and the Texas Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit. In addition, she's served on the 'Best Team for Banner' and interacts with multiple units across campus.
Top Techsan selections were made based on completed nomination forms that emphasize extraordinary work proficiency, and an attitude of team spirit within the Texas Tech family, officials said. Only fulltime, non-faculty employees were eligible, and they must have had two or more years of university service.
