Four students from Texas Tech's College of Agriculture and Natural Resources are spending the summer working as interns in the nation's capital. Running from June through August, the college's congressional summer intern program affords selected students an opportunity to experience first-hand the government's day-to-day operations.

The annual Raider Red Meats BBQ & Ribeye Championship will be held Aug. 28-29, giving cooks locally and nationwide the opportunity to square off against each other. The cook-off will take place on the southwest side of the Department of Animal and Food Sciences building in the C12 and C14 parking lots.
