Edward Floyd,
Adjutant General- Texas Army National Guard

Cadet Edward Dante Floyd is from Dallas, Texas. He is the son of Jeffrey and Ella Jeffcoat. Cadet Floyd received a Master of Public Administration degree in Public Administration and Political Science with a Minor in Military Studies from Texas Tech University. He is pending branch and duty assignment with the Texas Army National Guard. Cadet Floyd will be administered the oath of office upon meeting all commissioning requirements at Texas Tech, Summer 2018. He is being recognized today as a Senior MS IV Cadet with his year group of commissioning Cadets for 2018.

Field Artillery- U.S Army

Second Lieutenant Douglas James Francis is from San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of James and Sophie Francis. Second Lieutenant Francis received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management Information Systems with a Minor in Military Science from Texas Tech University. He will attend the Field Artillery Basic Officer Leadership Course at Fort Sill, Oklahoma after completion of his duties as a Platoon Observer and Trainer during Cadet Summer Training 2018 at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He will be assigned to 16th Field Artillery Battalion, 3rd Field Artillery Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas. His Father, Colonel James Francis, U.S. Army (Retired), will administer his oath of office. His Sisters, Rachel Francis and First Lieutenant Katie Francis, U.S. Army Reserve, will pin on his gold bars and placing his military stole. Second Lieutenant Francis will be presenting his Silver Dollar Salute to Specialist Ayub Lakhani, U.S. Army Reserve.

Erik Glover,
Quartermaster Corps- U.S Army Reserve

Second Lieutenant Erik Jason Glover II is from El Paso, Texas. He is the son of Erik Glover and Stephanie Walton. Second Lieutenant Glover received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management from Texas Tech University. He will attend the Quartermaster Basic Officer Leadership Course at Fort Lee, Virginia. He will be assigned to the 974th Quartermaster Company, Amarillo, Texas in the U.S. Army Reserve. His Father, Erik Glover, Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Army (Retired), will administer his oath of office. His parents, Erik Glover and Stephanie Walton will pin on his gold bars and placing his military stole. Second Lieutenant Glover will be presenting his Silver Dollar Salute to Master Sergeant Samuel Berrios, Senior Military Science Instructor, U.S. Army ROTC, Texas Tech University.

Aviation- U.S Army

Second Lieutenant Michele Colonnell Greene is from College Station, Texas. She is the daughter of Craig Greene and Theresa Edwards. Second Lieutenant Greene received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology with Minors in Military Studies and Health Professions from Texas Tech University. She will attend the Aviation Basic Officer Leadership Course at Fort Rucker, Alabama. She is pending her first assignment on active duty. Her Father, Major Craig Greene, U.S. Army (Retired), will be administering her oath of office. Her parents, Craig Greene and Theresa Edwards will pin on her gold bars and placing her military stole. Second Lieutenant Greene will be presenting her Silver Dollar Salute to Corpsman Joey Salazar, U.S. Navy.

Cadet Tana Michelle Nixon is from Amarillo, Texas. She is the daughter of Don Nixon and Leta Nixon. Second Lieutenant Richard Jay Schimka is from Glen Flora, Wisconsin. He is the son of Edward and Jane Schimka. Second Lieutenant Schimka received a Master of Science in Human Services from Lubbock Christian University. He will attend the Armor Basic Officer Leadership Course at Fort Benning, Georgia after completion of his duties as a Platoon Observer and Trainer during Cadet Summer Training 2018 at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He will be assigned with 2nd Squadron, 199th 16th Cavalry, Fort Benning, Georgia. Lieutenant Colonel Eloy Guerra, U.S. Army (Retired), will administer his oath of office. His friend and classmate Second Lieutenant Michele Greene and her Mother, Theresa Edwards, will pin on his gold bars and his military stole. Second Lieutenant Schimka will be presenting his Silver Dollar Salute to Master Sergeant Samuel Berrios, Senior Military Science Instructor, U.S. Army ROTC, Texas Tech University.

Infantry - Texas Army National Guard

Second Lieutenant Brandon David Skornia is from Tomball, Texas. He is the son of Terry and Kristy Skornia. Second Lieutenant Skornia received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology and a Minor in Military Studies from Texas Tech University. He will attend the Infantry Basic Officer Leadership Course at Fort Benning, Georgia. He will be assigned to B Company, 1st Airborne Battalion, 143rd Infantry Regiment in Terrell, Texas with the Texas Army National Guard. Commander Reedy Buford, U.S. Navy (Retired), will administer his oath of office. His Father, Terry Skornia and his brother, Justin Skornia will pin on his gold bars and placing his military stole. Second Lieutenant Rachael Lynn Skornia is from Magnolia, Texas. She is the daughter of Matthew and Terry Jensen. Second Lieutenant Skornia received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering with Minors in Chemistry, General Business, and Mathematics from Texas Tech University. She will attend the Engineer Basic Officer Leadership Course at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. She will be assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 111th Engineering Battalion, Abilene, Texas with the Texas Army National Guard.
