Lieutenant Colonel John D. Ring was selected as the Professor of Military Science at Texas Tech University in April of 2015.  He serves as the Professor of Military Science to a corps of 140 Cadets and 12 Cadre.  He oversees the curriculum and instruction for all Cadets from freshman year to commissioning as Second Lieutenants, supervises departmental budgets from Texas Tech University and the Department of Defense, directs recruiting efforts across the region of Texas and the neighboring states, institutes departmental policies synchronized with Texas Tech University and all federal agencies, and governs campus based and national scholarships within the program.
