  • Cross Section exhibition will be open for viewing nextdoor in SOA Satellite Gallery (1108 5th Street)
  • 5:00 – 7:00 PM: Hotel Check-in
  • 7:00 – 9:00 PM: Welcome & Wafaa Bilal Keynote Address; LHUCA Firehouse Theatre
  • Wafaa Bilal - Iraqi-born artist Wafaa Bilal, an Associate Arts Professor at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, is known internationally for his on-line performative and interactive works provoking dialogue about international politics and internal dynamics.
  • 9:00 – 11:00 PM: Welcome Reception; CASP 5&J Gallery, downtown Lubbock

  • 9:00 – 10:00 AM: Postcommodity Keynote Address; COMC Room 0057
  • Postcommodity - Cristóbal Martínez will present on Postcommodity's art functions as a shared Indigenous lens and voice to engage the assaultive manifestations of the global market and its supporting institutions, public perceptions, beliefs, and individual actions that comprise the ever-expanding, multinational, multiracial and multi-ethnic colonizing force that is defining the 21st Century through ever increasing velocities and complex forms of violence.

  • 10:15 – 11:30 AM: Panel Discussion; COMC Room 0057
  • 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM: Reception for Feminum, Curated by Loren Schwerd; Landmark & Studio Galleries, Art Building, TTU Campus
  • 12:30 – 1:30 PM: Sculpture Network of Texas Stakeholder Meeting (lunch provided);  Art 102, TTU Campus
  • 12:30 – 1:30 PM: University Public Art Collection Tour (optional by reservation). Meet up at Larry Kirkland "Headwaters" sculpture in the Art quad. Get the Popwalk app on your mobile device before the tour begins.
  • 1:30 – 5:00 PM: Aluminum Pour; 3D Annex Foundry
  • 1:30 – 2:00 PM: Pop-Walk presentation by David Lindsay, 3D Annex Alt Space
  • 2:00 – 5:00 PM; Slide Slam - sign-up at registration to for a 15-minute time slot to present your creative research. Bring your powerpoint on a flash drive. 3D Annex Alt Space
  • 5:30 – 7:30 PM: Special TxSS screening of THROUGH THE REPELLENT FENCE. (Hosted by TTU Public Media with introduction by Paul Hunton, General Manager with post-screening comments by Hunton, Postcommodity artist Cristóbal Martínez, and Chris Taylor, Director of Land Arts of the American West. Presented at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.)
  • 8:00 PM – 10:30 PM: Closing Party/Dinner; CASP 5&J Gallery
  • 10:30-11:00 PM: de-install 12x12x12 artworks
