Jewelry Design & Metalsmithing

A 3-D studio art minor consists of ART 2303 and ARTH 1301 or ARTH 2302, and 12 hours in jewelry design and Metalsmithing (3 hours of which may be in ceramics or sculpture). Nine of the 18 required hours must be taken at the junior or senior level in residency.

Admissions

DECLARATION OF MINOR

Declaration of this minor must be approved by the School of Art academic advisor prior to completion of minor coursework. Students working toward this minor must complete a minimum of 18 semester hours of coursework in the School of Art. Hours applied to the minor area of study may not include courses used to fulfill  Requirements in the student's major. These courses, however, may make the student eligible immediately for upper-division courses throughout the 18 hours of the minor.
