I was born and bred in the countryside of South Italy. In 2006 I completed my undergraduate studies in Biotechnology at the University of Naples Federico II. I earned a Master's Degree in Industrial Biotechnology in the same university in 2012. I worked 2years as Student Research Assistant for both my Bachelor's and Master's thesis, focusing on biochemical processes for remediation of polluted areas. I achieved a second Master's Degree in remediation technologies from the University of Rome La Sapienza. I completed my second Master in 2015 with an experimental work focused on the evaluation of bioremediation strategy for a chlorinated solvent contaminated area. In the pursuance of following up research in remediation, I am pursuing a PhD in Environmental Engineering at Texas Tech University.
