Dr. Ashley Voeks earned her Ph.D. in French Studies from the University of Texas at
Austin in 2019. She specializes in early modern French literature, culture, and thought,
with a focus on religious violence during the French Wars of Religion, as well as
the theory and practice of religious toleration throughout the early modern period.
She teaches literature in her area of research expertise at the graduate level and
language and literature survey courses at the undergraduate level.
