What is German Club?

Do you want to practice your German in an informal setting? Do you want to learn more about and exchange ideas about German-speaking cultures? Or do you just want to get together with a group of other "Germanophiles" to share your passion for the language or culture?

Then join TTU's German Club!

What do we do?

We offer weekly meetings at Kaffeeklatsch, an informal German conversation hour each Friday from 3-4pm in the Barnes & Noble's/Starbucks cafe in the SUB. You can use this for extra credit for lower-level German language courses (5x attendance per semester required), to converse in German, collaborate on German homework, play German games, and much more!

We also offer exciting cultural events, such as German cinema nights, German potlucks, cultural celebrations, hiking trips, or trips to the Slaton Sausage Festival!

Who can join?

Anyone at Texas Tech may join: undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, and staff – as long as you bring your passion for German language and German-speaking cultures. All levels of German are welcome.

No membership dues required.
