Hear from students and employers about the skillset you acquire after an international experience.

Read and watch testimonials and from our students who have previously gone abroad. Hear about the unique skillsets that they have acquired from their international experience and see straight from employers what skillset they desire when hiring.

The Opportunity: As a student, you have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to study abroad and experience the thrill of exploring another country and culture. As a future engineer, you will be part of an ever-increasing international profession where employers seek applicants who possess an awareness of global business practices, cross-cultural communication skills, language fluency, and the ability to thrive in any environment.

The Initiative: In order for the Whitacre College of Engineering to prepare graduates for the ever-changing global landscape, all undergraduates (starting with the Fall Class of 2013) are required to have an international experience that lasts a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks. The international experience requirement can be fulfilled by Study Abroad, Internship Abroad, Service Project Abroad or Research Project Abroad.
