STEAM Camps, Clubs and Professional Development
The Texas Tech University Whitacre College of Engineering Outreach and Engagement Program provides quality STEM educational opportunities for children throughout the community.
Engineering Club
Whitacre College of Engineering Junior Engineering Clubs are provided at no cost to participating schools and allow 5th grade students to explore different fields of engineering, engage in real world, hands-on STEM activities, receive mentoring, and experience Texas Tech University culture.
Clubs meet after school once a week to educate and cultivate an interest in STEM education. Their time is focused on engineering fields of study and career pathways. Everything culminates in a student STEM Expo, allowing club members to showcase what they have learned throughout their time as a junior engineer.

Summer Camps
Experience life as a Texas Tech student!
We are excited to welcome you to the Texas Tech Whitacre College of Engineering! Our
summer camp options provide you with a week-long experience, bringing you firsthand
insight into the world of engineering and Texas Tech University. Campers are introduced
to engineering concepts and gain experience with classroom lectures, hands-on group
projects, and campus life. Each day is structured as a current engineering student.
Campus resources such as admission requirements, financial aid, student support and
many more are highlighted throughout the week. Campers reside in a residence hall
on campus to bring the campus experience full-circle.
Explore Engineering
This camp is targeted to male and female high school juniors and seniors with an interest
in pursuing a career in engineering. This camp will provide an opportunity to spend
a week as a Texas Tech Engineering student. A few commuter spots are available for
local students. As a commuter, you will get to participate and experience all activities
minus the residence hall stay.
