My research examines how communication networks and cyberinfrastructure shape organizational
resilience and innovation in large, science-driven institutions. Using Diffusion of
Innovations and other relevant theory, I study how professionals in NSF-funded Research
Infrastructures collaborate across social and technical systems to adapt during crises
and technological change. Working with the Innovation Diffusion Lab (IDL) and NSF-funded
projects CI Compass and CI4Resilience, I explore how storytelling, coordination, and
community-building enable science organizations to sustain operations and enhance
innovation. Broadly, my work connects organizational communication, crisis communication,
and science and technology studies.
