Stacy Elliott

Biography

I am a Lubbock native. I taught high school health for LISD, worked in a clinical psychiatric hospital, provided counseling in a private practice and served as a counselor at South Plains College before taking some time off to work with my husband as he started his “post-retirement” career. I returned to higher education as a learning specialist with Support Operations for Academic Retention at TTU.

Before coming to the College of Media & Communication, I served as an advisor working primarily with recovery students in University Advising. I am excited to be in the College of Media & Communication working with students that have struggled by teaching them study skills, time management, learning strategies and finding their success path. 

I am married and have two adult children and one amazing granddaughter! I enjoy sports and have played soccer, played on a competitive softball team, have been on several bowling leagues and I play BUNCO. I love to watch movies and travel.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors.
