Our courses are designed to help people with significant barriers to employment into high-quality jobs and careers and help employers hire and retain skilled workers.

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)

Designed to help job seekers and workers connect to good jobs and acquire the skills and credentials needed to obtain them; secure the employment, education, training and support services necessary to succeed in the labor market. On November 26, 2019, the Texas Workforce Commission (Commission) approved the required Four-Year Combined State Plan for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) covering Program Years 2020–2023, for posting for public comment. Here are two of the WIOA core programs:

  • Adult, dislocated worker, and youth programs under Title I of WIOA
  • Vocational Rehabilitation program under Title IV of WIOA
