Fine Arts Learning Community

Are you dedicated to the promotion & pursuit of creative expression? Do you like the notion of living & learning in an artistically charged environment where the creative process is an essential part of daily life? The Fine Arts Learning Community (FALC), strives to meet each resident’s needs and interests through innovative programs and outside interaction with professors of the College of Visual and Performing Arts.

This blend of interests creates a unique environment conducive to creative expression. The living environment is extremely conducive to outside engagement in concepts discussed in the classroom and fosters a successful atmosphere in which each resident can reach their utmost potential. Not only should residents learn more about their own majors, but they should experience many aspects of the fine arts community through their friends, peers and faculty.

Wall/Gates further promotes long term tradition through the availability of practice rooms, a stage in the lobby, logo contest (used each year in FALC marketing fliers) and a continuing floor mural. The Fine Arts Learning Community is located in proximity to the Art, Dance, Theatre and Music buildings.

Students of all academic levels & majors who are interested in the arts can self-select into this community. It offers an excellent opportunity for students in Art, Dance, Music, & Theatre to learn from one another, collaborate, and live in a supportive environment.
