First Gen Week: Events
Monday, November 7
First-Gen Kick-off In partnership with TRIO SSS and McNair Scholars Program
Time: 12:00-1:30 pm
Location: The Black Cultural Center
Help us start the week off by joining in community building with other members of
the First-Gen community, and celebrate with food, interactive activities, and a photo
opportunity! Faculty, staff and students are all welcome.
Yoga & Power Pilates Hosted by University Recreation
(RESCHEDULED TO Friday, Nov. 11, 5:30-6:30pm)
Time: 5:30-6:30 pm
Location: University Recreation, Rm. 121
Relax your mind and body with us as Jean guides us through a one-hour class that incorporates exercises from Pilates and Yoga. This class is welcome to all levels.

Learn tips and tricks on networking from the University Career Center on how to make the best first impression and navigate the workplace as a First-Gen student.
First-Gen Recognition Gift

Location: Office of Admissions, School of Law
The Law School celebrates its First-Generation College-to-Law students. All First-Gen students are encouraged to stop by the Office of Admissions to pick up their token of recognition!

Consejos con Mentor Tech Hosted by Mentor Tech

As part of its Classroom to Career Series, Consejos con Mentor Tech (Advice from Mentor Tech) will explore how to know and navigate resources available to you, finding community and preparing for your professional career.
