Counselor Education
The Counselor Education program trains school counselors, clinical mental health counselors, counselor educators, and supervisors and prepares them to enter the counseling profession. Our nationally-accredited programs create and implement treatment plans and programs to serve the needs of clients, communities, and agencies where our students are and will be employed.

Licensure Information
At this time, the coursework in the Counselor Education program provides the current academic coursework required for licensure as an LPC in Texas. This may be changed by the LPC Board without notice. Students must know that only the LPC Board can approve coursework and determine eligibility for licensure. Additionally, the LPC Board has other requirements that students must meet prior to licensure.
