Terry Knight began her career in 1994 as an inclusion teacher in Lockhart, TX (the home of some of the best BBQ in the state). In 1997, she and her husband moved to Lubbock where she began teaching special education in Ropes until May 2008.  After leaving Ropes, she spent one year with Frenship ISD as the homebound teacher. In 2011, Terry was contracted to write ELAR Grade 3 for TTU K-12.  In January 2014, she was asked to temporarily work in the production department at TTU K-12 to help with a Moodle transition project. Thanks to a great team and good timing, she was hired full-time with TTU K-12 as a senior editor. Working for TTU K-12 gave her an opportunity to develop technical skills in the education business, prompted her to continue her education, and paved an avenue to working in TTU Worldwide eLearning as an instructional designer. In December 2017, Terry graduated from UTA with an M. Ed. in Education Administration. Terry's future continued education plan is to obtain a graduate certificate in Conflict Resolution and Mediation.

When she is not working, Terry chases this life with her husband, Eric, and their son and daughter. Some of her favorites are being a beach bum and spending time surfing, singing, perpetually working on her book “You Just Made My Book,” traveling, doing anything with her family, shoes, and laughing.
