Texas Tech University

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board has established the Texas Reskilling Support Fund Grant Program to offer tuition and fees assistance to qualifying students who were unable to attend school in the fall of 2020 due to COVID-19 related circumstances.

FAQs

Who is eligible?

  • Students who were not enrolled in any college or university during the Fall 2020
  • Students who were negatively affected by COVID-19
This applies to almost everyone. Students will be asked a question on their application or re-application to Texas Tech.
  • Students who can graduate in 12 months
Any student who has 66 credit transfer hours or more should try to apply.

What is the timeline for eligibility and completion?

When a student returns (either summer 2021 or fall 2021), they need to be “on track” to graduate within 12 months. Students can register for 19 credit hours in a long semester and 16 credits over the summer months.

There is no action required on the student's part. They will be identified and awarded based on eligibility.

Which degree programs are participating?

All undergraduate degree programs on campus are participating.

However, if you are looking to complete your degree as fast as possible, we recommend the University Studies program.
