The Office of Academic Partnerships Gets an Upgrade

By David Chapman, Section Manager

Until recently, the Texas Tech Office of Academic Partnerships has been home for both continuing education services and academic agreements. A large period of growth in these areas has prompted the unit to make a change, as Senior Director Clay Taylor explains.

"Within the Academic Partnerships unit, we have experienced significant growth and expansion within both the continuing education and academic agreements areas, justifying the creation of two distinct offices: The Office of Continuing & Professional Education and the Office of Academic Agreements," Taylor said.

The Office of Continuing and Professional Education has expanded its offerings to include a variety of online training programs in subjects ranging from Health & Wellness to Real Estate Licensing. The office has also had the opportunity to open regional training and advising facilities to areas in need of educational solutions.

Things have not slowed down for academic partnerships. The Office of Academic Agreements has recently formed partnerships with South Texas College, Tarrant County College District and Cisco College, just to name a few.

When asked about the expansion of his office, Taylor states, "This is a testament to the dedication and hard work from the staff in these offices who diligently serve our internal and external partners. I am very proud of the work these offices do and look forward to their continued success."

Follow the continuing growth of these two offices, and take advantage of their services!
