Texas Tech University at Brownwood is now home to Texas Tech's first academic advising site dedicated solely to online programs. On Nov. 4, Texas Tech and the Brownwood Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the official opening of the advising site and to welcome Texas Tech University to the city.

In attendance at the festivities were Texas Tech's Masked Rider and Fearless Champion, as well as Brownwood mayor Stephen Haynes, who said he is excited to have Texas Tech join the city. “This is an opportunity for local people to attain a better education and to have pathways to a finer education,” Haynes commented.

With the options available through TTU at Brownwood, those wanting to take their education to the next level may do so online. Students can advance from an associate degree to a bachelor's degree or from a bachelor's to a Master's degree, or even a doctorate fully online.
