Regional Site Director Receives Top Techsan Award

Dr. Kelly Fox, Director of the Texas Tech University Regional Teaching Sites located in Fredericksburg and Highland Lakes, was recently recognized as a 2016 Top Techsan Award recipient. This honor is given to four individuals each year who are selected by the Texas Tech Alumni Association. Award recipients are chosen in light of their display of extraordinary work proficiency and an attitude of team spirit within the Texas Tech family.

"Dr. Fox is focused on 'bearing our banners far and wide,' promoting the Texas Tech brand and presence in the Fredericksburg and Marble Falls, Hill Country region," stated Alice White, Ph.D., the individual who nominated Dr. Fox for this award.

With a professional background that ranges from instructing language arts and bilingual education to coordinating the Texas Tech University College of Education TechTeach Teacher Education Program in Hill Country, Dr. Fox has made contributions that have enhanced and improved the experience of many educators and students.

Otto Ratheal, Executive Director of the TTU Regional Sites said, "Kelly tirelessly supports student success and works to increase the number of academic offerings available to them. She engages local communities to increase awareness of the opportunities provided by Texas Tech and I routinely hear community members talk about the difference Kelly's leadership has made."

Since joining the Texas Tech faculty in 2008, Dr. Fox has proven her passion for education through a standard of excellence that exemplifies the Texas Tech spirit.
