A Quick Tour
By Timothy Howard, Digital Media Coordinator
Texas Tech University eLearning & Academic Partnerships exists to provide a Texas Tech education to students no matter where they live or what stage of life they are in. The TTU regional teaching sites are a large component of that mission. With seven unique locations, the TTU regional sites are bringing a wide array of degree and certification programs directly to communities located across the state. Students can take in-person classes from distinguished TTU faculty without having to leave the communities that they live in. Here is a quick tour of the TTU regional sites.
Texas Tech University at Waco resides on the scenic McLennan Community College (MCC) campus in Waco. Though a partnership with MCC, students can complete their core curriculum requirements through the community college and their upper level requirements through TTU without having to leave Waco. Just a few of the programs offered include biology, political science and communications. With a growing student body and plenty of events around campus for students to participate in, TTU at Waco gives students the Texas Tech experience without having to be in Lubbock.
Beginning in the spring of 2016, students were able to begin earning an education from TTU while living in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Texas Tech University at Collin Higher Education Center, located in McKinney, Texas, allows students to earn their core curriculum requirements through Collin Community College and then complete their upper level requirements through TTU at Collin. In addition to the many educational offerings that TTU at Collin offers along with the other regional sites, students can earn a Bachelor of Science in Human Sciences. Through a partnership with Austin Community College, students can easily transfer their core curriculum requirements into a four-year degree program with Texas Tech. Along with the various bachelor's degrees and certificate programs, TTU at Fredericksburg offers multiple graduate programs including a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership.
Located in Marble Falls, Texas Tech University at Highland Lakes offers students many of the high quality educational programs that TTU at Fredericksburg also provides while incorporating a strategic partnership with Central Texas College. TechTeach provides students in the Hill Country the training needed to improve the academic achievements of K-12 students.
