The Texas Tech University regional teaching sites extend the university's reach across the state so that students' education goals can be accomplished from anywhere. Texas Tech University at Collin, located in the Collin Higher Education Center (CHEC), is no different.

Beginning in the spring, students in the McKinney area will have the opportunity to pursue continuing education in the Restaurant, Hotel, and Institutional Management (RHIM) field.

The RHIM program at Texas Tech University is one of the top programs in the nation and is designed to provide practical work experience. Students are brought to hotels so they can experience, first hand, what it is like to run a hospitality operation.

The TTU RHIM program also boasts a high job placement rate, as employers prefer the strong business focus and industry-standard computer software training that is received. Career opportunities include hotel manager, event planner, and executive chef just to name a few.

TTU at Collin partners with Collin College to provide the community the opportunity to prepare for a variety of careers within their own community. With the many diverse opportunities to network in Dallas/Fort Worth, students can grow and get involved in large cities nationwide. The metroplex is also home to more than 35,000 Texas Tech alumni.

Because of the proximity, this makes TTU at Collin the perfect site to add the Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) in Restaurant, Hotel, and Institutional Management (RHIM) program.

Be on the lookout for more degree programs as the site continues to grow.
