Beginning this fall, working professionals in the Marble Falls and Rockwall areas will have the opportunity to pursue their MBA at Texas Tech University (TTU) without leaving their communities! The Texas Tech MBA program provides a broad background in business with an emphasis on building business skills and developing managerial perspective.

The Rawls College of Business has designed an MBA program for managers and professionals who wish to remain actively employed as they pursue their graduate degree. Students will complete the MBA for Professionals in two years, with a lock-step schedule.

The program is laid out in what is known as a hybrid format where students will have a combination of online coursework and meet one weekend a month at the regional site. To accommodate the hybrid format, Rawls' faculty will travel to each site to conduct face to face meetings.

Texas Tech University at Highland Lakes partners with Central Texas College where MBA students can choose to add a concentration in Big Data Strategy. Kelly Fox, Ph. D., director of TTU at Highland Lakes, believes an MBA is a valuable tool for employees who have leadership potential and want to advance their careers.

"We are thrilled that the Rawls College of Business will be offering the Professional MBA program at TTU at Highland Lakes," Fox said. "The program is a good fit for the community."

Fox believes the location is key as Marble Falls is an easy drive from the Austin and San Antonio areas. Located in the heart of Texas Hill Country, TTU at Highland Lakes, makes continuing education a reality in Central Texas.

The Texas Tech University at Rockwall partnership with Rockwall ISD and Collin College, provides local students the opportunity to continue their education without relocating. Jameshia Granberry, director of TTU at Rockwall, sees the Dr. Gene Burton College and Career Academy becoming the hub for innovation, STEM development and career exploration for the Rockwall community.

"We (TTU) value the partnership between Rockwall ISD and Collin College," Granberry said. "We are honored to offer a Professional MBA at the Dr. Gene Burton College and Career Academy."

Rockwall is home to many thriving organizations which contribute to the economic growth and sustainability of the community. Granberry adds, "Offering this esteemed graduate business degree without leaving the Rockwall area will benefit the Rockwall residents as well as the economic development of the DFW metroplex."
