About the Program

The Free Market Institute (FMI) Visiting Scholars Program brings research professors to Texas Tech University to collaborate with faculty, staff, and students. Visiting Scholars attend and present in research workshops, conduct graduate seminars, and contribute to other activities aimed at advancing the Institute's research mission.

Each Visiting Scholar leads a Ph.D. seminar that exposes the Institute's graduate fellows to areas of research related to the scholar's expertise. Seminars have focused on topics in applied price theory, the economics of property rights, topics in economic history, and topics in philosophy and economics.
