Women's Leadership Institute
Beth is a senior Chemical Engineering major from Arlington, Texas. Beth is a member of President's Select, Honors College Ambassadors, Engineering Diplomats, and Involvement Ambassadors. She is also a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, Sigma Alpha Lambda, and Rho Lambda honor societies. She is also a proud member of the Chi Omega Fraternity and currently serves as the Vice President. Beth is also a student assistant at the Office of President and is a proud third generation Red Raider.
Jennifer is a senior Kinesiology major from Lewisville, Texas. She is also working on a minor in psychology minor, and taking classes for Physician's Assistant school. Jennifer is a captain on the volleyball team here and an executive member of Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
Valerie is a senior Marketing major with a concentration in Global Supply Chain Management from Wall, Texas. She has been involved in various associations on Texas Tech campus and has held various positions in the Student Government Association. Valerie is currently the director of outreach of the student government association and the vice president of marketing of Alpha Phi Fraternity. She is also a student assistant to Texas Tech University Advising Office
Andrea is a junior Business major from Amarillo, Texas. She is part of the TTU Honors College. She is on a Pre-Med track with a minors in Chemistry and Biology. Andrea is an active member of Chi Omega sorority where she has held various positions. She has a passion for the "Make a Wish" Foundation, and is part of Wish Makers on Texas Tech campus. Additionally, she is a member of the American Medical Student Association, the Bernard Harris Medical Society, and the Eta Omicron Nu service organization. She is also a Rawls diplomat.
Lindyn is a junior Anthropology major with a focus in Forensics and a minor in Health Professions from Brownwood, Texas. She is involved in a number of organizations and activities here at Tech, and is currently serving as a student assistant in the Honors College. This past summer, Lindyn got the opportunity to serve as a camp counselor for Texas Tech's Red Raider Camp. She is a member of the honor societies Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma. Lindyn is also a proud member of the Texas Tech Equestrian Team serving as the committee chair for fundraising. Moreover, Lindyn is a part of the Masked Rider Program serving as a part of the Field Safety Crew on game day!
Devin is a junior Public Relations major, Business and Political Science minor from Stinnett, Texas. Devin is the undergraduate chair for the Women's Leadership Institute. She was a member of the institute during the 2014-2015 school year, and is currently a member of Dean's Student Council, Tech PR and Raider Sisters for Christ sorority. Devin served as the student director for Red Raider Camp 2015. She participated in the President's Congressional Internship program where she interned for Congressman Mac Thornberry. Devin is also a student assistant in the Center for Campus Life.
Grace is a senior Public Relations major and Political Science minor from San Antonio, TX. She is a member of Mortar Board, Order of Omega, College of Media and Communication Student Ambassadors, Dean's Student Council and Pi Beta Phi Fraternity. After a summer interning for Senator Ted Cruz in Washington D.C., she worked as a student assistant to the University Counsel and is now is internship coordinator for the Government and Public Service Internship program.
Rachel is a senior Cell and Molecular Biology major from San Antonio, Texas. She is currently President of the Scholar Service Organization through CISER, an Undergraduate Research Scholar through the Texas Tech Honors College, and a member of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. She has been a singer and pianist in the Saint Elizabeth's choir since her freshman year.
Katie is a senior Music Education major from Lubbock, TX. She is a part of the Goin' Band from Raiderland and serves on the leadership team. She assists new and returning members with marching fundamentals, monitors rehearsal behavior, addresses the forms made for the shows, and performs with the leadership team at professional events. She is also a member of Tau Beta Sigma, which is a music service sorority that stems from Goin' Band. Past involvement includes the Texas Tech Polo Club and the Texas Tech Therapeutic Riding Center. She also worked at the Red Raider Orientation the last two summers. Currently, she is a college recruiter for the College of Visual & Performing Arts, a peer mentor with Raider Ready, and a teaching artist with the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra.
Hailey is a junior Nutrition/ Pre-dental major with a minor in Biology and Chemistry from Canyon, Texas. Hailey is a Human Sciences Ambassador and a member of the Pre-Dental Society. She is also a proud member of Pi Beta Phi sorority where she is an academic mentor and is a part of Panhellenic where she served as a Rho Gamma and is the spiritual liaison. Also, she is an active member in Phi Upsilon Omicron and Rho Lambda Honors Societies.
Laura is a senior Public Relations major who transferred to Texas Tech University in 2014. At her previous college, Laura was the vice president for the Amarillo College Engineering Society. This summer, Laura participated in the 4A's Multicultural Advertising Internship Program (MAIP), where she led and facilitated a summer project for Wieden + Kennedy and Nike. As a MAIP Fellow, Laura had the opportunity to intern at Osborn Barr as a media planner, and received first place on a client pitch intern project. At Texas Tech University, Laura is president of Tech PR, treasurer of the Association of Women in Communications, PR account associate for RaiderComm, Tech Advertising Federation student member, MAIP campus ambassador, marketing communications intern at Visit Lubbock, and was the opinions editor at the Daily Toreador Newspaper in the spring of 2015.
Carson is a junior Sport Management major and Agricultural Communications minor from Haskell, Texas. She is an active member of President's Select, Raider Sisters for Christ, and has served as a counselor and Camper Chair for Foundation Retreat at Texas Tech. She is also a member of Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma honor societies. Along with being involved in various student organizations, Carson works as a Student Assistant for Texas Tech Athletic Development. She also serves as Intramural Chair for RSC and as a Kids Ministry leader at Hillside Christian Church.
Kaitlyn is a senior Dance major from Houston, TX. She currently works as an active company dancer of the University Dance Company. Kaitlyn participates as an active member of the dance, honors, and service society of Chi Tau Epsilon. Last year she served as Chi Tau Epsilon's Social Chair. She is also a current member of the Christian organization, Raider Sisters for Christ. In the past, Kaitlyn has served as the finance chair for the student run organization, Foundation Retreat.
Farah is a sophomore Biochemistry major from Lubbock, TX, with minors in Biology, General Business, and Arabic. She is involved in many organizations on campus including being an Honors College Ambassador, a First-Year Experience Mentor, an Honors College Senator for Student Government Association, as well as a member of President's Select. She is currently conducting research at theHealth Sciences Center and will attend the TTUHSC School of Medicine after undergraduate as part of the UMSI program. In the past, she was chosen as one of the Mortar Board's Top Ten Freshmen and she is currently on the President's List.
Kinzie is a sophomore Human Development Family Studies major with a minor in Psychology from Round Rock, Texas. Kinzie is currently the president for the Tech Pre-Occupational Therapy Club as well as an Honors Ambassador for the Honors College. She volunteers in the community with (HON) Eta Omicron Nu a service organization on campus. She is a member of academic organizations; Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma. She is also involved with Christians at Tech.
Nataly is a senior at Texas Tech University majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry with a Pre-Medical concentration. She is president of the American Medical Women's Association, a free clinic leader for the Dr. Bernard Harris Pre-Medical Society, and is involved with the Honors College where she is a senior captain for Haragan House. She is also a Presidential Scholar recipient and has been a Sherwood Scholar since her first year.
Alejandra Moreno Jaramillo
Alejandra is a junior human development and family studies major with a minor in chemistry with a pre-med track from Houston, Texas. She is currently a Bayless Elementary School mentor for the Honors College, teaches a communications lesson to low socioeconomic status families in East Lubbock, and is in charge of a teen parenting class. Additionally, she is an undergraduate research assistant for two professors at the College of Human Sciences. Her research topics include gender, first-year women, nutrition, and communication. Previously, she was undergraduate teaching assistant in the department of Human Development and Family Studies.
Lauren is a junior Energy Commerce major from Austin, Texas. She is a third year senator-at-large for the Student Government Association, a member and chancellor of Delta Sigma Pi a professional business fraternity, as well as a member of the Energy Commerce Association, and the American Association of Professional Landmen. Lauren also is a student assistant for facility and staff of the Texas Tech University Honors College.
Zoie is a senior Nutrition major from Cross Plains, Texas. She is part of the Undergraduate to Medical School Initiative program, and will begin medical school at TTUHSC School of Medicine in the fall of 2016. She is currently serving as an Honors College Ambassador, Chancellor's Ambassador, and the webmaster for the TTU Mortar Board Forum Chapter. Zoie is also part of Golden Key International Honor Society where I served as Vice President of Academics, the Tech Terry Scholars where she served as treasurer, and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
Emily is a junior Restaurant, Hotel, and Institutional Management (RHIM) major from Southlake, Texas. She currently serves as the Vice President for Zeta Tau Alpha as well as the RHIM association within the College of Human Sciences. She previously served as the Risk Management chairman for the Panhellenic Executive Council and is a proud member of Order of Omega, Rho Lambda, Phi Upsilon Omicron, and Eta Sigma Delta honor societies. Emily in the past also represented Texas Tech in Phired Up Productions Student Voice Coalition.
Ashley is a junior Biochemistry major from Lucas, Texas. She is involved in many organizations including Kappa Alpha Theta, the American Medical Women's Association and the Black Student Association. Through these organizations she volunteers with CASA and at the local Boys and Girls Club. She also holds the positions of facility management director at Theta and Rho Gamma through PanHellenic recruitment.
Jessie is a junior Biology major minoring in Chemistry and Mathematics from San Antonio, Texas. She is a member of the Honors College, Rho Lambda Honor Society, and Order of Omega. She currently serves as the vice president external of Lambda Delta Psi Sorority Inc., the treasurer for the Multicultural Greek Council, and as a representative on the Greek Advisory Board.
