This layer contains a generalized jurisdictional boundary of Texas with county boundaries that extend up to 3.5 miles from the coastline. This polygon file was designed for small scale thematic mapping and analysis.
The spatial data were obtained from the US Census Bureau and are current as of 2010. Attributes were modified to include only county name, state abbreviation, population, area information, region, and FIPS code information. The coordinate system of this data is WGS 1984.
