Summary

This layer contains the surface geology for Texas. This polygon file was designed for medium to small scale thematic mapping.


Description

            

The spatial data were obtained from the United States Geological Survey. The layer originates from the detailed US surface geology dataset. Attributes were modified to include only rock type, area, description, and geologic information. The coordinate system of this data is WGS 1984.
