Summary 

This layer contains the locations of registered heliports in Texas. This point file was specifically designed for multi scale thematic mapping and analysis.

This low resolution point vector file displays the locations of heliports, as defined by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, in the State of Texas. The data was downloaded from the TNRIS STRATMAP database and processed further by the TTU CGST.

Description 

            

              

                The spatial data were obtained from the Texas Natural Resource Information System (TNRIS) and are current as of 2001. The heliport data was extracted from the Bureau of Transportation Statistics airport dataset. The attributes were modified to include name, heliport ID, county, city, and operational information.
