Summary 

This layer contains a detailed surface geology profile for the US. This polygon file was designed for small scale thematic mapping and analysis.

Description 

            

              

                

                  

                    The spatial data were obtained from the United States Geological Survey. The layer originates from the US surface geology dataset. Attributes were modified to include area, rock description, order, unit, and geologic information. The coordinate system of this data is WGS 1984.
