First-Year Experience
First-year students accepted into the TTU Honors College are required to complete
the Honors College First-Year Experience (FYE), along with the one-credit attached
hour Learning Community Group course (LCG), HONS 1101. The FYE Program will introduce
new students to the culture and community of Honors, and help them to begin building
lasting relationships here.

Honors Thesis
The Honors Thesis is meant to be the culmination of a student's Honors experience.
It gives the student an opportunity to conduct original research with a faculty Thesis
Director, and it is required for graduation with Highest Honors from Texas Tech University's
Honors College.
