What is a Second Reader?
The Honors Thesis Second Reader serves as the secondary expert who reads the thesis for appropriate content, theory, and methodology. The Second Readers is only required to read one draft of the thesis late in the process as the student prepares his/her final draft. Second Readers are encouraged to make comments and editorial suggestions. The Second Readers may also suggest scholarly sources and methods to the student, and he/she is encouraged to communicate with the Thesis Director and the HONS 3300/4300 Instructor about any thesis-related concerns.
Second Reader Expectations
Second Readers are expected to do the following:

Read and provide feedback on at least one draft of the thesis.

Contact the HONS 3300/4300 Instructor with any problems or concerns regarding the student or the thesis (kurt.caswell@ttu.edu, 806-834-4770).

At the end of HONS 4300: sign off on the final draft of the Honors thesis.
