Honors College Scholarship Awards

The Honors College awards scholarships
to Entering first year, Entering IB Diploma
first year, Current Honors students, HAL majors,
and Honors Ambassadors. The Honors College
has disbursed over $205,000 between the five
classifications of students for the year. For the
2014 academic year, 175 Honors students

received an Honors College scholarship.
We were also able to award study abroad
scholarships for the Fall 2014 and Spring
2015 semesters, as well as the Maymester
and Summer I and II programs.  In total, we
assisted over 90 students to study abroad,
expand their horizons, and learn from a

truly valuable and hands-on international
experience.

All scholarships awards are made possible
thanks to the generous donors who have given
to Honors College scholarship endowments.

Undergraduate Research Scholars

Students doing undergraduate research work
with faculty experts in fields ranging from
Animal Science and Biology to Business, Cell
Molecular Biology, Chemical Engineering,

History, Mathematics, Psychology and Nutrition.
These experiences are foundational in that
they place the students at the forefront of
knowledge generation. Furthermore, this

activity can be leveraged into writing an
Honors thesis and applications for national
and international awards such as the Rhodes,
Gates-Cambridge and Goldwater.
