Honors College first-year researchers bring real-world results to lost apples and biodiversity
Students in an Honors College First Year Experience course have been learning how to research creatively by looking for the lost—and presumed extinct—heirloom apples of Texas. Their research has succeeded in bringing back at least one of those apples—and fired the imagination of community members and partners across the state.

Premiere of 'Narratives of Modern Genocide' Documentary Details Horrors of Modern-Day Massacres
The Honors College and Texas Tech Public Media hosted a viewing of the documentary at the Museum of Texas Tech University in hopes of educating people on the atrocities of genocide that still occur around the world to this day.

The Honors College STEM & Leaf Corps
The Honors College STEM & Leaf Corps were honored at the Volunteer Lubbock Cornucopia Luncheon for their incredible work with the Lubbock Independent School District. The STEM & Leaf Corps work with six LISD schools to provide free tutoring to high school and middle school students and are working to create new and innovative pedagogical approaches to inspiring students to love learning, reading, and creating.
