What should I know before I apply to Graduate school?

Before you begin your application to Texas Tech, please make sure to read all the application instructions carefully. You could find these admission instructions here.

Are any graduate programs available online?

Yes. We offer several online programs, all able to be completed anywhere in the world.

Where do I apply for a graduate program in the College of Human Sciences?

You will need to fill out an application through the Graduate School at this link.

What materials do I need to apply?

For most programs, you will need to upload a copy of your resume, statement of purpose, 3 recommendation letters, GRE score, writing samples, and TOEFL (International students only). These supplemental materials are reviewed by the department admission committee only, not the Office of Graduate Admission. For more information, visit the Graduate School website regarding required materials for both domestic and international applicants.

Do I need to mail any application materials?

No, ALL documents must be submitted through the online application portal.

I'm an international student, what's your requirement for TOEFL?

For international students, the minimum scores of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) are: TOEFL Paper-Based 550, TOEFL Computer-Based 213, TOEFL Internet-Based 79, IELTS Academic Overall 6.5.

How do I apply for a Teaching Assistantship or Research Assistantship?

You may apply teaching/research assistantship here.

Do I need a separate Fellowship application?

No, you do not need a separate application for Fellowships. When you applied, you are automatically considered for possible fellowship opportunities.

How much will my tuition cost?

The cost differs for each student. To get an estimated cost of your tuition, you may go to the Student Business Services website and use the Tuition Estimator.
