Trudy Turner

Not only is financial planning Trudy Turner's profession, she also feels it's her calling. When she is not working with clients as a Senior Wealth Manager at United Capital, she can be found teaching, mentoring and counseling students, young practitioners and career changers to accelerate their success in the financial planning profession. She brings over a decade of financial services experience in wealth management, tax planning, insurance underwriting and public accounting to her dual passion of improving the lives of her clients and financial planning colleagues.

She has served her profession as the 2006 President of the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and numerous national FPA committees, including being one of three Co-Founders for the FPA Diversity Committee. Within her local community, she has served on the Parkland Foundation Planned Giving Council, the Greater Dallas Business Ethics Awards Steering Committee and as a Board Director for the Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater Dallas.

Trudy has been honored in the inaugural 2002 and all subsequent listings of the Best Financial Planners in Dallas in D Magazine. She received the Dallas Fort Worth Chapter of the FPA Honors Award in 2009 for her extraordinary commitment and significant contribution to the financial planning profession. She is a regular contributor to the Dallas Morning News Dollarwise Blog and has been featured in Black Enterprise, Financial Planning, and other national magazines. She received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Virginia and a Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of North Texas.
