Microsoft Product Activation for Remote Window DevicesIs software on your TTU Windows based devices asking to be activated? If so, bring that device to campus and connect it to the TTU network or use VPN to connect to the TTU network and your device should activate automatically. Don’t have VPN setup or don’t know how to use VPN? Then click here for Windows 7 or here for Windows 8 instructions on how to setup VPN on your Windows device. Having trouble getting Office 2013 or Office 2010 to automatically activate? Then, click here for instructions on how to manually activate Office. Microsoft product activations are valid for 180 days, on day 181, you will receive popup notifications asking you to activate. Mediasite Lecture Recording ServiceIf you are teaching a course this summer and would like to have your lectures recorded and posted to the Mediasite lecture viewing website, please contact John Martinez at john.martinez@ttu.edu. Human Sciences has one mobile Mediasite recording unit and two static installations in rooms 111 and 226. |
Microsoft has recently released Windows 8.1 and also has released a major patch for Windows 8.1. It is recommended that all Windows 8 devices update to Windows 8.1 soon to continue to receive security related patches from Microsoft. Starting after May 13th 2014, if your Windows 8 device is not patched to Windows 8.1, your device will stop receiving bug fixes, security patches, and feature enhancements. Contact us at hs.techservices@ttu.edu if you need assistance updating your Windows 8 device. If you have a support issue, you can now e-mail hs.techservices@ttu.edu with a description of your issue. You will receive an automatic response and your issue will be immediately entered into our helpdesk support application. |

Computer Labs 306 and 306C Summer Lab Hours and ConstructionStarting on May 14, computer labs 306 and 306C will be closed for demolition and installation of a fire sprinkler system, new ceiling tiles, and new light fixtures. The computer labs will open on June 2nd, just in time for the first summer term. Our computer lab hours for the summer will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. |
