Technology Support Ticketing SystemIn order to make sure we provide the highest quality of support, Technology Services has implemented a ticketing system. This will enable us to better track issues that have been relayed and make sure we handle them in a timely manner. We don’t want to drop the ball with your technology issue or request. For any technology issues or requests, please e-mail hs.techservices@ttu.edu. If you have a purchase request, you may also use hs.techservices@ttu.edu to request the purchase. Your issue will be automatically entered into our ticketing system, and you’ll receive a confirmation e-mail. Once your issue is resolved and the ticket closed, you’ll receive a follow up e-mail indicating that your issue is resolved. If you feel that your issue or request is not fully resolved, simply reply to that follow up e-mail and your issue will be re-opened, please do not reply to the follow up e-mail unless the issue needs to be re-opened. Bottom line, we want to make sure that your technology needs are fully met. Mediasite Lecture Recording ServiceIf you are teaching a course and would like to have your lectures recorded and posted to the Mediacast lecture viewing website, please contact us @ hs.techservices@ttu.edu. Human Sciences has one mobile Mediasite recording unit and two static installations in rooms 111 and 226. A great amount of audio/video technology is built into each of the Human Sciences multimedia classrooms. Here are a few things to remember about our classrooms: To startup the A/V systems in our rooms, select “Display On” and press the “PC” button as your video and sound source. Please always select “Display Off” before you leave our classrooms. Please never move the podiums in any of our classrooms. There is a limited length of cable between the wall outlets and the podiums, and any over-extension of that cable can potentially damage the A/V cables or A/V hardware. Human Sciences 3rd Floor PC and Printing LabsOur 3rd floor PC and printing labs have a lot to offer. We have 60 PCs, 2 plotters (photo plotter, regular plotter), 2 high performance color printers, and a high performance greyscale printer. Students can use our pay to print/copy service for just about any printing project/need that they are assigned. Our Technology Services office is also located on the 3rd floor, with walk up technical support available, in certain cases. If you have a printing request, please e-mail us, along with your file and printing instructions @ hs.techservices@ttu.edu. If a department is paying for your printing, please include a department printing authorization form along with your request.
