Dr. Tan Junior Receives Investigator Research Award

Congratulations to Dr. George Tan, Assistant Professor here at the Department of Industrial, Manufacturing, & Systems Engineering at TTU. Dr. Tan will be honored as one of only four recipients awarded the Junior Investigator Research Award by the recognized by the Biomedical Engineering Society for 2023. The award recognizes his successful career in and his contributions to the field of advanced biomanufacturing. Dr. Tan will be presented the award at the upcoming 2023 conference hosted by the BMES titled “Accelerating Advanced Biomanufacturing Through Discovery to Implementation.” The field has seen many breakthroughs including 3D bioprinting, biomaterial genome, machine learning, organoid development, and fabrication in the last several years, and we want to congratulate Dr. Tan on this well-deserved recognition for his contribution.
