Announcing a call for Call for Entry for High and Dry: A Photographic Exhibition of Peoples and Places of the World's Dry Lands

Deadline: October 3, 2016
Eligibility: Open to all photographers, both amateur and professional

Photographers of all levels are invited to submit work reflecting the dry lands theme of this annual juried exhibition The choice of subject (be it animal, vegetable, or mineral) is up to the photographer, but the shot must have been taken in an arid or semiarid region. Approximately 75 images will be selected for exhibition and shown at the galleries of Texas Tech University's International Cultural Center from November 22, 2016 to January 15, 2017. Reception will be held on December 2, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Awards are $600 for first place, $300 for second, and $150 for third.

Juror for "High and Dry" will be Amy Holmes George

Entry fee: $6.00 per image, 5 image maximum. Checks payable to Texas Tech University.
