TTU-FAPESP SPRINT Program Call for Proposals - Coming Soon

The Sao Paulo Research Foundation (SPRINT) & Texas Tech University will be announcing the next call for proposals for the exchange of faculty and postdoctoral researchers under the SPRINT 5th Edition 2018. FAPESP will provide funding of up to the equivalent of $5,000 per proposal per year and Texas Tech University will provide funding of up to $5,000 per proposal per year, for the duration of the grant (up to 24 months) to cover research-related mobility expenses. This call invites research proposals in all fields of knowledge. Title: U.S.-Japan Cooperative Medical Sciences Program Collaborative Awards

Summary: CRDF Global is accepting proposals from joint U.S., Japan, and other regional Asia-Pacific (APac) based investigators working in the field of infectious disease and immunology research for the U.S.-Japan Cooperative Medical Sciences Program (USJCMSP) Collaborative Awards, 2019. The purpose of the USJCMSP collaborative awards is to foster new or expanded infectious disease and immunology focused biomedical research collaborations between researchers in Japan, the APac region, and U.S. investigators and institutions. It is expected that proposals will focus on questions of direct relevance to the APac region that will add to global knowledge about viral diseases. The USJCMSP continues to promote collaborations, especially to include early-stage and female scientists from around the region.

Summary: The goals of the Accelerating Research through International Network-to-Network Collaborations (AccelNet) program are to accelerate the process of scientific discovery and prepare the next generation of U.S. researchers for multiteam international collaborations. The AccelNet program supports strategic linkages among U.S. research networks and complementary networks abroad that will leverage research and educational resources to tackle grand scientific challenges that require significant coordinated international efforts. The program seeks to foster high-impact science and engineering by providing opportunities to create new collaborations and new combinations of resources and ideas among linked global networks. AccelNet awards are meant to support the connections among research networks, rather than supporting fundamental research as the primary activity. Each network of networks is expected to engage in innovative collaborative activities that promote synergy of efforts across the networks and provide professional development for students, postdoctoral scholars, and early-career researchers. There are two proposal categories covered by this solicitation: Catalytic and Full-Scale Implementation.

Summary: The Political Science Program supports scientific research that advances knowledge and understanding of citizenship, government, and politics. Summary: The Economics program supports research designed to improve the understanding of the processes and institutions of the U.S. economy and of the world system of which it is a part. The Economics program welcomes proposals for individual or multi-investigator research projects, doctoral dissertation improvement awards, conferences, symposia, experimental research, data collection and dissemination, computer equipment and other instrumentation, and research experience for undergraduates. The program places a high priority on interdisciplinary research. Investigators are encouraged to submit proposals of joint interest to the Economics Program and other NSF programs and NSF initiative areas. The program places a high priority on broadening participation and encourages proposals from junior faculty, women, other underrepresented minorities, Research Undergraduate Institutions, and EPSCoR states. Summary: The Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) announces a Request for Statements of Interest (RSOI) from organizations interested in submitting Statements of Interest (SOI) for programs that support Internet Freedom. In support of the U.S. International Strategy for Cyberspace, DRL's goal is to protect the open, interoperable, secure, and reliable Internet by promoting fundamental freedoms, human rights, and the free flow of information online through integrated support to civil society for technology, digital safety, policy and advocacy, and applied research programs. Summary: This solicitation seeks innovation in Arctic observational networks and fundamental convergence research across the social, natural, environmental, and computing and information sciences, an engineering that address the intersection of natural, social, and built systems. NNA promotes initiatives that empower new research communities, diversifies the next generation of Arctic researchers, integrates the co-production of knowledge, and engages partnerships, particularly among international stakeholders. This NNA solicitation requests proposals that fall within the following tracks: Track 1 (Research Grants) and Track 2 (Planning Grants). Summary: Cultivating Cultures for Ethical STEM (CCE STEM) funds research projects that identify (1) factors that are effective in the formation of ethical STEM researchers and (2) approaches to developing those factors in all the fields of science and engineering that NSF supports. CCE STEM research projects will use basic research to produce knowledge about what constitutes or promotes responsible or irresponsible conduct of research, and how to best instill students with this knowledge. In some cases, projects will include the development of interventions to ensure responsible research conduct. This is a limited submission opportunity.
